Purposes Of Environmental Site Assessment

Environmental site assessment phase 1 is the simple easiest method to assess the environmental contamination of any land or property. In Phase 1 Environmental site assessment, Visual inspection is done for the purposes of-

  1. Search for asbestos, Lead-based paints, Debris flow and earthquake hazards. 
  2. Threatened and endangered species in sites.
  3. Detection of lead in drinking water.
  4. Assessment of mercury lead contamination in sites. 
All these are done to asses the contamination or potential risk of contamination in any land or property.
